On the 23rd November 2020, we had our first event at the PitPals Melkbos kennels where we walked and played with the doggies.
PitPals is a rehabilitation center for power dogs such as Pitbulls. The work that they do is absolutely amazing and we can't wait to return.
On the 28th January 2021, the NeroKnights team, along with a few volunteers, potted 210+ Spekboom at various stages of their life cycle. Soon these will grow large enough that they can be replanted in an area where they will be much needed
This brings the total amount of Spekboom potted by NeroKnights to over 250. Thank you to everyone who has helped and donated to us thus far.
On the 13th February 2021, NeroKnights had an event at PitPals to give the rescues some love for Valentines day. From playing to walking with the rescues, we made sure that they got the loved that they deserve!

At the start of January 2021, we started the tree initiative and got a lot of off-cut Spekboom which were planted into bags with the help of a few volunteers.
After planting all the off-cuts, we started the project with 50 Spekboom saplings and 3 Yellowwood trees. These will be grown and planted by NeroKnights at a future date. You can sponsor a tree by heading over to our SponsorATree page.
Beach Cleanups take hours out of the day from the volunteers at the SANCCOB Facility where they could be saving the birds. So NeroKnights and SaveAFishie helped by doing a beach cleanup on the 6th March 2021 to allow the volunteers to keep doing their amazing work!
SANCCOB is a registered non-profit organization (NPO 003-134) whose primary objective is to reverse the decline of seabird populations through the rescue, rehabilitation and release of ill, injured, abandoned and oiled seabirds – especially endangered species like the African penguin.
On the 10th April 2021, NeroKnights partnered up with Edgemead High School to plant 87 trees.
The trees that were planted were Spekboom and form part of the "Sponsor A Tree" initiative.

On the 17th April 2021, NeroKnights had a beach cleanup event at Lagoon Beach near Wang Thai.
NeroKnights managed to gather up about 10 bags (full of litter) from the beach.
A special thank you goes out to all the volunteers that came down to help us clean the beach! You rock!
